The Thoothukudi airport is just 20 km away from the Thoothukudi city.  To reach the Thoothukudi Airport by bus, you can get bus from Thoothukudi old bus stand to Vagaikulam town. There are plenty of Mini buses available from the new bus stand of Thoothukudi even every 15 minutes gap on working hours.

Another way is the auto rickshaw. Either from the new bus stand or old bus stand, you can get the direct Auto rickshaw to the Thoothukudi Airport any time. But the better way is using the bus service due to the distance.

There is no train service available between the Thoothukudi city and Thoothukudi airport.
